International Mens Day 2014
For the first International Mens Day was held in N Ireland. The location chosen , by Belfast City Council, was Belfast castle.
Although initially censored by the Council, so as not to offend feminists ( whom had complained at individuals who were due to participate ) the Council gave the go ahead for Pete Morris to conduct a speech.
The event passed off and many people, including senior Fire Officer and his colleagues, asked for contact details for some of their colleagues.
On top of this, Pete Morris has been asked to "train" social work staff , from the Salvation Army, on how to recognise, and assist male victims of domestic abuse. This is a huge acheivement and recognition of the effort, work and knowledge we hold on mens issues.
